4th of July... Mississippi Style

We thought, "Hey, Arkansas's not THAT hot... let's go to Mississippi for the 4th." And so, we were on our way to Natchez, MS to visit my grandparents.
After a lengthy trip and some horrible fast food experiences (at Sonic on the way down we got charged $.20 for cherry and $.5 for easy ice... seriously? So much for "happy" hour) we were at G.G. and Grandpa's!
(Yes, Jack had wet his pants but sometimes it's just not worth ruining a good mood to change him. The chances of getting an OK picture of boys is very limited but it is not even a possibility if Jack is crabby. Hence, the pee pants.)
If I had to wrap the trip up in a few words: the pool & fire ants. Those ants really know how to ruin a perfectly good fireworks display. Unfortunately, we just happened to find ourselves positioned over their ant hill. They won the battle of the land.
Fortunately, when we weren't on top of an ant hill we got to enjoy the company of G.G. and Grandpa, good food and their pool. Sweet serenity.

(At least this time it's not in his pants... or the pool.)
