my crazies
Is it just me or are boys crazy? Seriously crazy. I do not have a child who is physically capable of walking by a sibling without somehow hitting him. My most frequent phrases of late are, "Don't touch him. Stop hitting. Don't punch. No wrestling in the house. Keep your hands off each other. Take it outside. Didn't I just tell you stop touching your brother?!"
Dressing up in their Power Rangers Underoos doesn't help the situation. While in costume they somehow feel the need to act out any given scenerio they've ever seen on a cartoon or movie containing the depicted character.

Sweet Lovin'
Our neighbor is trying to breed his lab, Storm, so a stud dog has been visiting the past couple of days. To give Storm a break from the fella he put her in the same kennel as his other female dog, Maggie. Storm is very much in heat and apparently slightly confused with her sexual orientation so she proceded to assume "the position" on Maggie. I was yelling at Storm to stop it when Grant said, "It's OK, Mom. She's just giving her some lovin'."

Dogwood Festival
Something else we did ages ago was go to the annual Dogwood Festival in Siloam. There were lots of fun activities to be had by all but the highlight for the boys was the amazing face painting.
Max chose Spiderman.
Grant chose a tiger.
Little man wanted Spidey, too.
What a ferocious bunch.
Chloe chose the less assuming spider web.

The Circus
Every year at Grant's Pre-K the Circus comes to town. (This happened weeks ago in reality but I've been pre-occupied. Why is May so much busier than December? If I'm going to be completely honest, this performance actually happened in April, but who's keeping track?)
G-man was a post-pubescent JUGGLER (note the stache).
The Circus Performers. There were lions, elephants, the ringmasters, dancing bers, circus ponies, balloon salesmen, jugglers, tightrope walkers, lion tamer, a tumbler, strong men, clowns and peanut salesmen.
His future is looking bright. G has some mad juggling skills.
The juggling duo.
The grand finale and what every performer was looking forward to most: an enormous cookie.
